At My Sister's House, we are committed to a shared mission to break cycles of domestic violence by providing comprehensive support, services, and education to our clients and community.

We're honored to continue providing critical, life-changing domestic violence survival programs in our forty-third year of service to South Carolina's Charleston, Dorchester, and Berkeley Counties.

Our Crisis line experts provided compassionate, thorough support and safety planning to 1,707 callers through our 1-800-273-HOPE hotline.

Our DV Advocates guided 224 clients and children through shelter on customized paths to trauma recovery, independence, and freedom from violence.

Our Court Advocates supported 234 clients with individualized guidance for filing Orders of Protection and Restraining Orders, personal accompaniment to court hearings, and legal aid referrals.

Clinical Therapy Hours Provided to DV Survivors in 2023

Our trained Therapists led a combined 1,464 hours of individual and group clinical therapy for local domestic violence survivors and introduced two new program offerings, expanding designated support group access to male survivors of DV and Spanish-language-speaking survivors of DV.

Community Members Educated Through Outreach in 2023

Our Education, Outreach, and Advancement Specialists shared MSH program, mission, and resource information with 19,752 community members, raising awareness of critical DV survival services through 276 events, sessions, councils, and meetings.
